Persian Islamic Damascus Steel Shamshir Sword. Engraved and fluted Wootz Damascus steel blade with slight curve, maker marks and inscription to blade base, koftgari inlaid guard, stained bone grip with hooked end and engraved gilt metal mount; later tassel wrapping to grip. 19th century. {Approximate dimensions: 35 7/8" long.}.
Condition
Some wear and weathering throughout. Blade with very faint bend. Cracking to bone. Small rust spots to guard and blade.
