Pair of Marble Top Giltwood Eagle Console Tables. After an 18th Century Neoclassical Design. Breccia veined deep pink marble topped rectangular tables, with serpentine low relief scrolls to aprons, resting on the spread wings of the giltwood eagles, carved with heads en facent. The table bases painted green. Third quarter, 20th Century. {Approximate dimensions: 35" high x 43 3/4" wide x 22" deep.}. Provenance: Austin Hills. Condition: Overall condition is very good with nicks and minor losses to gilding. Tiny chips to wing ends, and to some of the carving to aprons. One of the marble tops cracked across the surface, and professionally repaired.
