Pair of Chinese Heavily Carved Hardwood Throne-Form Stools. Each stool of ceremonial throne form, without backrests, carved in high relief throughout. The curved upper rails terminate in confronting dragon heads, forming a yoke-like profile above slatted seats. Raised on bold, arching legs carved with masks and scrolling foliate motifs, terminating in paw feet. The stretchers and aprons further carved in deep relief, emphasizing sculptural presence and symmetry. {Approximate dimensions: height 29 1/2 inches x width 26 inches x depth 27 1/2 inches (each)}.

Wood surfaces show surface wear including minor scratches, scuffs, and rubbing to raised areas.
