Pair of Chinese Gilt Bronze Seated Figures of Buddha, each depicted seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base, the hands in varied mudras and holding ritual attributes. The figures are richly cast with finely detailed robes and adorned with a warm gilt surface. The serene expressions, elongated earlobes, and tightly curled hair reflect traditional Buddhist iconography, while the overall form suggests Sino-Tibetan stylistic influence.
The underside bears a mark reading “Da Ming Xuande Nian Zhi” (Made in the Xuande period of the Ming dynasty).
