Chinese Bronze Vessel with Cover, of baluster form with a flared neck and rounded body, surmounted by a fitted domed cover. The vessel is cast with loop handles at the shoulder suspending loose ring chains, and further applied with ring handles along the body. The surface is richly patinated with encrustation and verdigris, indicating age and burial or prolonged exposure.
The removable cover adds to its functional versatility, suggesting use as a ritual or storage vessel.
