Gilt Metal Seated Figure of Buddha, in the Sino-Tibetan style, depicted seated on a lotus base with one hand lowered in a gesture of earth-touching and the other resting in meditation. The figure retains traces of gilding and pigment, including blue-painted hair curls, with engraved details to the robe and base. The base is incised with a central yin-yang motif surrounded by vajra-like forms, reflecting a synthesis of Chinese cosmological symbolism and Tibetan Buddhist iconography.{Height 6 1/2 inches}.
