(Lot of Two) Japanese Taisho Period Porcelain and Cloisonne Chargers.

Comprising one porcelain charger finely decorated in vivid polychrome enamels with a prowling tiger amid bamboo, enclosed by a broad border of alternating shaped panels featuring floral and foliate motifs; and one cloisonne enamel charger worked in vibrant turquoise and cobalt tones, the surface filled with tight spiral wirework forming a dense decorative ground. The porcelain charger is painted on the reverse with underglaze-blue roundels and stylized cloud motifs along the rim and bears a small square seal mark within the recessed base. The cloisonne charger is finished with a uniform turquoise enamel on the reverse, bordered by a narrow exposed metal rim. {Approximate dimensions - largest diameter 18 1/8 inches}.
