A group of five Japanese Imari porcelain plates of varied forms. The largest dish presents a round medallion of a rider on horseback beneath a tree, bordered by iron-red and blue pattern bands. Two plates share a closely related brocade-style floral motif with iron-red, blue, and gold accents on the rims. One plate is foliated with a lobed outline, the carved silhouette echoing traditional foliate shapes, the surface filled with floral reserves. The final one is a fan-shaped plate with florals and gilt detail along segmented folds. {Approximate dimensions - largest diameter 12 1/2 inches}.
