Large Japanese Yokohama Export Satsuma Porcelain Vase with Iris and Ducks Motifs. Late Meiji/Taisho period. The ovoid body finely painted in naturalistic style with tall purple irises rising beside a pond inhabited by ducks and waterfowl, the scene executed in soft enamel tones with meticulous shading. The waisted neck is adorned with a gilt brocade band of foliate scrolls. The base bears a black and gilt mark associated with Osaka/Yokohama export workshops. {Height approximately 15 inches}
