Japanese Export Carved Wood Dragon Armchair.

The chair of rounded form, the frame extensively carved with intertwined dragons, the arms terminating in dragon heads each grasping a pearl, the back and sides further decorated with scaled bodies and curling forms in high relief, the seat with a carved apron above cabriole legs. The carving is deeply executed, emphasizing the dynamic movement and sculptural presence of the dragon motifs.
