Italian Baroque Marble Relief Plaque, Saint George. Carved with scene depicting St. George on horseback standing over a defeated dragon plunging his spear into the Dragon's mouth; later wood frame. 17th/18th century. {Approximate dimensions: Plaque 10 1/4" high x 8 3/4" wide, frame 14 1/2" high x 12 1/2" wide.}. Condition: Plaque has not been inspected outside the frame. Frame with wear. Plaque with excellent apparent condition considering age. Some chips to edges visible from reverse.
