Italian Baroque Style Painted Figure of Female Saint. Painted plaster on carved wood, standing contrapposto female figure clutching book to her chest. First half 19th century or older. {Approximate dimensions: 41 3/4" high x 14" wide x 7 1/2" deep.}. Condition: Surface with significant wear and restoration throughout, some loss to paint. Loss to arm. Apparent later panels to unfinished back could indicate this was installed in an architectural context.
