Chinese Carved Stone Buddhist Stele. 

The rectangular stone stele carved in relief with a central niche containing a seated Buddhist figure, flanked by two standing attendants. The central figure seated on a lotus base with hands held before the body, the niche framed by architectural elements resembling a canopy or shrine structure above. Above the niche carved with decorative motifs including animals and stylized elements. Below the central scene is a horizontal register of small seated Buddhist figures arranged in a row. The lower section divided into panels depicting animals, birds, and human figures within decorative frames {Approximate dimensions: height 33 3/4 inches; width 14 1/2 inches; depth 9 7/8 inches}
