Ink and color on paper, inscribed “Early Spring, Jiazi year (1984), Xiongcai” (甲子初春，雄才), bearing seals reading “Lingnan” (岭南) and “Xiongcai” (雄才).

Depicting a mountainous landscape with steep peaks and a winding path animated by small figures on horseback, rendered with layered washes and textured brushwork, the composition emphasizing depth and atmospheric perspective. The painting reflects the Lingnan School’s synthesis of traditional ink techniques with a more naturalistic approach to light, color, and spatial construction, characteristic of Li Xiongcai’s mature style. The dynamic handling of ink and color, together with the monumental treatment of landscape forms, conveys both vitality and structural clarity.
