After Emile François Carlier (French, 1827-1879). Hollow patinated bronze figural garden fountain in the form of a Venus with vase, pouring water into oversized scalloped shell below, with rich verdigris patination, signed to base "Carlier".

Heavy patination, dust, dirt, surface wear, color variation most noticeable to area where feet and scrollwork meet the shell top. Urn with break and small gap to the back where it formerly attached to the figure, light corrosion to urn neck.
