Appraisal History: The present work was appraised on July 6, 1979, by Leonard Bowman, a fine arts appraiser active in San Francisco and Honolulu. Listed as Item 13 on page 3 of the appraisal, the work was identified at that time as “Possibly dates to late Ancient Period” and assigned a replacement and insurable value of $400.
