US Army Springfield Armory Officer's Dress Sword. Gilt metal hilt with wire-wrapped black shagreen grip, sword blade with etched decoration including "U.S." and "E. PLURIBUS UNUM". "SPRINGFIELD ARMORY SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A." near ricasso; metal sheath with gilt metal mounts included. {Approximate dimensions including sheath: 39" long.}.
Condition
Sheath with patina and some apparent surface rust. Hilt with some verdigris to recesses. Blade with minor corrosion spots mainly to lower blade.
