Two Russian Orthodox Oklad Icons, Christ and St. Nicholas, painted in polychrome enamels, and with gilt metal oklad over the wood icons.
{Approximate dimensions: 7 1/4" x 5 7/8" and 7 1/8" x 5 7/8".}.
Condition
Portraits with light wear, craquelure. Oklads with gilt loss, rubbing, pitting, patina. Frames with gaps to corner seams, some dents and warping, more so to St. Nicholas icon. Halos with lifting, warping. Fabric with wear, discoloration.
