Two Qur'an Persian and Arabic, the Persian pages within red, gilt, blue, black lines, some pages with marginalia and annotations to sides. The Arabic text leather bound, and possibly collected poems by Saadi, with annotations, and some illustrated miniatures. {Approximate dimensions: the loose sheets 7 1/4" x 11 1/4". The volume 6 1/8" x 9".}.
Condition
The Persian pages scruffy and dirty, with dog eared corners; the volume now loose albeit still string-bound in sections; with minor tears to individual pages, also soiled in parts; the leather binding scratched, worn, cut, dog eared, worn. Old conservator's tape to some pages.
