Two Japanese Hagi Ware Tea Bowls, Chawan with Boxes.
Each with soft, thick glaze and natural kiln effects characteristic of Hagi ceramics. One bowl with a warm reddish glaze with milky white areas and potter’s impressed seal to the base; the other with a pale cream glaze with subtle pinkish tones and an irregular foot. Each accompanied by a wooden tomobako storage box with calligraphic inscription. {Approximate dimensions: 4 5/8 inches diameter}
