Two Framed Chinese Silk Embroidered Textiles.
Each worked in silk embroidery and mounted in frames, one of narrow vertical format and the other of rectangular form with layered textile borders. The larger panel finely embroidered with auspicious motifs including peaches, bats, and butterflies among scrolling floral designs, the imagery conveying blessings of longevity and happiness, the composition enclosed within multiple textile borders including an outer black ground decorated with pale flowers and blue leaves. The dense arrangement of auspicious motifs and rich color contrasts enhance its celebratory and decorative character. The narrower panel embroidered with floral motifs in a continuous vertical arrangement, displaying delicate needlework and soft tonal variation.
