Two hanging birdcages constructed with vertical wooden bars and circular frames. The larger example with carved wooden base and openwork decoration, fitted with porcelain feeder cups and interior perch elements; additional carved ornament to the lower section. The smaller cage with cinnabar lacquer base and rim, fitted with porcelain feeder cups and metal hanging hook. {Approximate dimensions: tallest height 30 inches including fittings}

General wear, surface abrasions, and minor losses consistent with age and use. Scattered wear to wood and lacquer surfaces; porcelain cups with minor wear.
