Two Art Deco Style Thirst Extinguisher Cocktail Shakers, designed as chrome miniature fire extinguishers. Tapered shaker stamped to the front with "THE / THIRST / EXTINGUISHER / INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING" with down arrow, all on raised shield surround, rotating base stamped with drink recipes such as SIDE CAR, TOM COLLINS, and CLOVER CLUB, and the underside etched with "No 2146". Cylindrical shaker stamped to the front with "THIRST EXTINGUISHER / DISPENSE FREELY / TO REFILL / CALL YOUR HOST / APPROVED BY / UNDERWRITERS / FIRE CHIEFS / KEEP AVAILABLE / FOR EMERGENCY", the underside etched with "No 3825".

Condition
In good condition with minor wear overall, including light surface scratches, minuscule nicks, minor light rubbing. Smaller shaker with a few small finish losses along band of trim below spout. Please ask the Furniture and Decorative Arts Department for a detailed condition report on this lot.
