Provenance: Daniel B. Dyer (1849-1912), a prominent businessman and Indian agent, whose homes "Chateau la Vert" in Augusta and "Clarendon" in Kansas City, Missouri, were filled with antiques from the Eastern Seaboard. Prior to his death Dyer had extensive photo documentation self published. Thence through descent to consignors.
An appraisal by Peter Hill of Washington DC, performed in 1972, will be provided to the successful bidder, as will a copy of an ad from Magazine Antiques from H and R Sandor, New Hope, Pennsylvania, who offered the sideboard for the family in the 1970s.
