Sevres Style Blue Ground Ceramic Urn, painted with Neoclassical style portico amidst foliage, and with woman playing pan pipes with two putti surrounded by foliage, gilt metal mounts to mouth, applied to side, to ankle, the waisted foot mounted to brass base. Painted in polychrome enamels and gilding, the figural side signed A. Machal in purple enamels toward bottom left of scene. Mid 20th Century.

Condition
Hairline crack below neck, 2 1/2" L, portico side. Even crazing throughout. Surface wear, scratches to ceramic body. Patination to brass, and roughly scratched to base.
