Renaissance Revival Carved Oak and Chestnut Salon Settee, of low and shallow profile, carved with two rounded seat backs, and with lower central shield shaped motif, the carved crest with applied Egyptian influence head in high relief to back. The center front bowed under single cushion, over cabriole legs. UPholstered in ocher plush, with gold colored frogging trim. Circa 1860 - 1865.

Cracks and repairs to shield, to both upper sides, repairs and glued sections of frame; surface wear and dirt, dust in crevices, over all to upholstered areas.
