Pair of Italian Rococo Carved and Painted Cassapanca.  Shaped backs painted with architectural shell motifs centering armorial crests, seat storage compartments with hinged lids, the painted motif extends to the base. 18th century. {Approximate dimensions:  54" high x 66 3/4" wide x 21" deep.}.

Condition:  Some restoration and repair including later reinforcement struts to the reverse.  Backs loose.  Previous insect damage.  Loss and rubbing around edges.  Paint with loss and patina.  Some splits or gaps to seams, some without restoration.
