Pair of Historicist Silverplate Compotes, Attributed to Elkington, the Baroque undulating bowls molded with grapeleaf, grapecluster band to edge, with large grapeleaves and clusters toward cavetto, the leg molded in two parts, on a scalloped base, repreating the grapeleaf motifs. Stamped with Maltese cross in oval, Gothic G, lion passant facing left, and cypher. Circa 1885.
