Pair Louis XVI Style Pedestals. Tapered rectangular forms on bases with bracket feet; marquetry veneer throughout, decorated with ormolu mounts and plaques. {Approximate dimensions:  57 1/4" high x 17 1/2" wide x 12 3/4" deep.}.

Condition:  Some surface wear and fading to finish.  Some veneer loss, mainly to bases.  Repairs including fill-in.  Patina to ormolu.  One plaque is separated with the frame partially detached.

Provenance: Warren Kopp and Paul Hardman were interior designers who owned an antique shop and interior decorating studio in the 1950s and 1960s.  In 1957, they bought the Talbot-Dutton House, now llandmakred, where they set up an apartment as an homage to great French style.
