Large Chinese Eggshell Porcelain Landscape Bowl with Box.

The thinly potted eggshell porcelain bowl with wide flaring sides rising from a short foot. The exterior finely decorated with a continuous hand-painted landscape scene depicting rocky mountains, pine trees, and foliage rendered in naturalistic tones of green, brown, and blue against a softly shaded background. The interior largely plain, with a small landscape vignette painted at the center of the well. The base bearing a four-character mark reading 'Gao Meisheng Zhi' in iron-red within a square border. {Approximate dimensions: diameter 17 3/8 inches}
