Japanese Kutani Porcelain Charger, Meiji period, the circular dish brightly enameled with a pair of mandarin ducks amidst lotus leaves and flowing water, rendered in vivid polychrome enamels characteristic of Kutani ware. The dynamic composition and bold palette reflect the decorative aesthetic of the period, with fine outlining and stylized natural forms.
The reverse bears a mark reading “Kutani zo” (made in Kutani).
