Japanese Haniwa Teracotta Head on Base. A terracotta Haniwa head, shaped with stylized facial features including recessed eyes, a defined browline, and an open mouth. One side preserves a vertical ear-like projection. The surface shows natural clay textures and tooling marks. Mounted on a wooden display stand. {Approximate dimensions - height of head: 6 3/4 inches, with base: height 12 1/4 inches}.
