French Empire Bachelard Figural Bronze Clock. With standing mars figure holding shield giving a Roman salute, the clock topped with wreath and quiver of arrows, white enamel dial, the base with relief frieze depicting soldier riding away from camp and a woman on a chariot; pendulum included. The dial with "Bachelard A PARIS", the base of the dial with "MARS JURANT LA VICTOIRE". {Approximate dimensions: 21" high x 17 1/4" wide x 6 3/4" deep.}.
Winder, pin, and accessory included.
Condition
Has not been tested, working order is not guaranteed. Some patina and rubbing to gilt bronze. Missing movement cover to reverse. Some cracking and minor enamel loss to dial. Slight bend to feet.
