Framed Persian Illustrated Manuscript Page, probably Safavid, with farsi inscriptions surrounding the image of a seated scholar on a low throne chair, surrounded by acolytes and animals, with trees and mountains in the background. Extensive inscribed areas regard best practices for the acolytes. Painted in polychrome and gilt ink. Under mat and glass, in chip carved frame.

Condition
Good condition, 3/8" section of black freckled band outside of image with minor loss. surface wear and scratches to glass and frame.
