Four Japanese Satsuma Kozan Items.

Comprising a plate, a covered jar, and a pair of vases, each finely decorated in the Satsuma style with dense gilt and polychrome enamel decoration, the surfaces featuring figural and landscape scenes alongside floral motifs including cascading wisteria. The plate painted with a lively narrative scene of figures in a landscape framed by elaborate gilt borders, the covered jar similarly decorated with figures amid natural settings and fitted with a matching lid, while the pair of vases adorned with vertical arrangements of flowering wisteria rendered in soft enamel tones with extensive gilt highlights. The finely crackled glaze, intricate detailing, and rich gilding reflect the characteristic aesthetic of Satsuma ware associated with Kozan, combining technical precision with highly decorative surface design intended for both domestic appreciation and export markets.
