English School Miniature Portrait of Woman, a portrait of La Duchesse de la Valliere, after the famed Pierre Mignard portrait. Pierre Mignard (French, 1612-1695). The sitter painted with prominent tear drop shaped pearls to ears, and a large pearl necklace, decollete dress with ruffled lace, red bow. Under glass, in copper frame, with velvet backing. Mid 19th Century.

Condition
Not examined out of frame. Surface wear and scratches to frame, patina to metal.
