Chinese Iron-Red and Blue Porcelain “Lotus” Box.

The box of circular form, composed of two evenly proportioned halves fitting together to create a compact and balanced shape. The exterior is decorated in underglaze blue and iron-red enamels, featuring scrolling lotus motifs interspersed with stylized floral elements. A band of geometric key-fret pattern encircles the sides, providing structure to the overall design. The domed cover is similarly adorned with floral medallions, creating a cohesive decorative scheme. The base bears a Xuande mark, and the harmonious combination of form and ornament reflects the continued influence of earlier porcelain traditions.
