Chinese Guan Type Mallet Vase. Of cylindrical body sloping to a tall tapering neck with a lipped rim, covered overall with a pale grayish-blue glaze suffused with fine golden-tinged crackles, rim bound in a gilt metal band, the base incised with three characters. {Height 7.2 inches (18.2 cm)}.
