Chinese Brocade Silk Embroidered Dragon Robe. Superbly woven in rich blue brocade and embroidered in gilt thread with sinuous five-clawed dragons striding among ruyi-shaped clouds, the lower section encircled with billowing waves and upright mountain forms. The sleeves are worked with contrasting dark panels terminating in finely patterned cuffs, while the collar and front lapel are accented with intricate scrollwork borders.
