The bowl of shallow, gently rounded form, rising from a short foot to a slightly flaring rim, the interior densely decorated in underglaze blue with a pair of phoenixes amidst scrolling floral motifs. The composition is lively yet balanced, with the birds rendered in fluid brushwork and framed by a continuous ground of stylized foliage. The exterior is covered in a pale, even glaze, providing a quiet contrast to the richly ornamented interior. The base bears a Ming-style mark, and the overall design reflects the enduring influence of early imperial blue and white wares.
