Ancient Roman Byzantine Mosaic Panel of Animals. The nearly square panel in two galleries, the first with pheasant, two dogs in pursuit; the lower with lion about to bite a cow alternating with sparse foliage. Third to fourth century A.D. {Approximate dimensions: 63 1/2" H. x 75 1/4" W. x 1" D.}.
Condition
Condition: Overall appearance is very good, with strong coloration and imagery. There are some repaired areas overall. Minor chips and losses to individual tiles. Surface wear and scratches.
