A Chinese Lidded Jar, a Cylindrical Jar, a Reticulated Cup, and an Octagonal Cup

Jar with Wood Cover: H. 6 3/8 in. (16.2 cm); Body Diameter 8 3/4 in. (22.2 cm); Rim Diameter 3 3/8 in. (8.6 cm). Cylindrical Jar, bearing an apocryphal "Da Ming Wanli Nian Zhi" mark: H. 6 3/8 in. (16.2 cm); Diameter 5 7/8 in. (14.9 cm). Reticulated Porcelain Cup, bearing "Kangxi Nian Zhi" and "Mingdao Zizhi" marks, decorated with delicate translucent "rice-grain" openings that become luminous when held to the light, creating one of the most admired visual effects in Chinese porcelain: Diameter 4 5/8 in. (11.7 cm); H. 2 3/8 in. (6.0 cm). Octagonal Famille Rose Cup, bearing a "Da Qing Tongzhi Nian Zhi" mark, finely potted with eight faceted sides and enamel decoration: Width 4 in. (10.2 cm); H. 1 7/8 in. (4.8 cm).
