Chinese Metal Inlaid Ox Figure.
The figure cast in metal in the form of a striding ox, modeled with a lowered head and powerful stance, conveying a sense of movement and strength. The surface is decorated with silver-colored inlaid scrollwork, accentuating the contours of the body and adding ornamental detail to the robust form. The patinated surface displays areas of green and brown tonal variation, enhancing the sculptural depth and aged character. The combination of naturalistic modeling and decorative inlay reflects traditional artistic interpretations of auspicious animal subjects.
