An 18th-century Chinese blue and white lotus-scroll stem dish, Xuande mark

The shallow dish molded with a bracket-lobed rim and raised on a tall, spreading hollow foot. The interior is painted in underglaze blue with a central lotus bloom surrounded by scrolling foliage, enclosed within double-line borders, while the gently curved sides are densely decorated with further lotus blossoms borne on continuous leafy scrolls. The exterior is similarly painted with a continuous lotus-scroll design. The upper section of the stem is encircled by floral and dotted bands, above a row of elongated lotus-petal lappets decorating the spreading foot. The interior of the foot bears an apocryphal four-character Xuande mark in underglaze blue.

十八世纪青花缠枝莲纹高足盘，“宣德年制”款

盘呈菱花口，浅弧腹，下承外撇中空高足。盘心以青花绘莲花及缠枝花叶，外围饰青花双弦纹；盘内壁满绘缠枝莲纹，莲花与卷曲枝蔓相互交错，构图繁密而富有层次。外壁亦绘连续缠枝莲纹。高足上部饰花卉及圆点纹带，下部环绘修长的莲瓣纹。足内以青花书“宣德年制”四字寄托款。
