William IV Satinwood Jewelry Casket. Comprising coffin form body, the rectangular hinged lid with decorative metal handle to slightly raised center panel and scrolled nailhead border, over tapering body with frontal keyhole and narrower footed, stained base on ball feet. Lined interior with padded lid underside.

Minor wear with wood finish attractive overall. Some surface scratches, slight pitting, several small holes indicating possible previous insect damage. Lid with hairline cracks with repair to back corners, subtle craquelure to border. Some chips and nicks to corners and edges, creating a slight gap to underside edges of lid front corners. Base with rubbing and finish losses to sides; 1 1/2" long brass fixture to back of base interior edge. Leather clad underside where leather meets base sides worn. Interior lining stained to one side.
