Victorian Style Mahogany Chairs: One Arm, Eight Side, the Empire style bergere with lightly curved back, the arms terminating in stylized fiddleheads, and front cabriole legs. The side chairs with balloon backs, the crests with light foliate and floral carving to crests, the splats to center carved with faux shields, with tapering seats over cabriole legs, all upholstered in black cotton velveteen.
{Approximate dimensions, the arm: 35" H. x 23 1/2" W. x 19" D., the side chairs 34 1/2" H.x 16 3/4" W. x 17" D.}.
Condition
Scratches to frames, especially to armchair, surface wear, nicks. The armchair seat mostly sprung. Please contact the Furniture and Decorative Arts Department for a detailed condition report on this lot.
