Verve Magazine, Vol. 1 No. 1 with Matisse Cover.  Published December 1937, this is the first edition of the famous French publication.  Artists and contributors include Henri Matisse, Fernand Leger, Man Ray, Erwin Blumenfeld, Georges Bataille, Rene Huyghe, Pablo Picasso, Andre Malraux, Henri Michaux, Brassai, Judith Cladel, etc.; also included are original subscription sheet and gold sticker to front page.  {Approximate dimensions:  14" high x 10 12" wide.}.

Separation from binding.  Minor discoloration to cover and page edges.  A couple of small tears to page edges, tear to upper binding.
