Venetian Attributed Blackamoor Stand. Round table top carved in low relief with faux draped tablecloth, emergent from the head of the standing polished and ebonized figure, his right arm holding the table aloft, left arm bent and hand mostly closed, to hold an object, now absent. Dressed as a costumed gondoliere, the costume painted in polchrome enamels, modeled standing over the prow of a gilt gondola prow, on faux painted water. Circa 1900. {Approximate dimensions: 31" high x 14 1/4" wide x 15" deep with figure's hand.}. Provenance: Austin Hills. Condition: Top layers of tabletop in moderate condition with chips and lifting; also some losses to points of tablecloth. Left arm broken off at elbow and reattached. Chip to left thumb. Left knee cap veneer absent. A series of chips and cracks to both left and right lower legs. Please ask for additional photos to clarify condition.
