Two Spode China Plate Sets. Comprising fourteen dinner plates, each with scalloped borders and green ground faces with gilt rims, floral cartoches in offset gold to shoulders, centering a gilt pheasant standing on a grassy mound; and twelve luncheon plates, with beaded and rouletted gilding to rims, on pale yellow ground shoulders, with beaded and rouletted cavetti.
Dinner plates marked in green printed enamel "SPODE over BONE CHINA over ENGLAND" over pattern number Y 7015 handwritten in brown ink. Marks to luncheon plates in green printed enamel, "SPODE over COPELANDS CHINA over ENGLAND," retailed by Spaulding ampersand Co. Chicago ampersand Paris. pattern number R 2959 over y in iron red near foot rims. Circa 1970 (the dinner plates) and 1890 (the luncheon plates.) (26 pieces total).

Condition: Dinner plates are in very good, never used condition, with minimal stacking and surface wear and scratching. Luncheon plates with minor stacking wear, minor tiny holes to glazed surfaces to face, some losses to gilding on footrims, minor losses to gilding at rim edges. A few plates with minor, shallow cut marks.
