Two Shawls: Tunisian and Andean, the first woven with stylized foliate motifs in red silk thread on natural linen, and the second an Andean weaving, probably from Aguayo, woven from hand dyed wool. The first woven in two pieces, and stitched together, with Velcro backing along one of the long ends. Early third quarter, 20th Century.

Tunisian shawl with two repaired tears, one of about 10 1/2" long and the other of 4 1/4" long, a few stains. Otherwise, minor wear to both shawls, loose threads. Please ask the Furniture and Decorative Arts Department for a detailed condition report on this lot.
